To mark International Women’s Day in March 2024, Vogue Singapore introduces its first podcast series, Vogue Uncut. Hosted by Vogue Singapore editors, each episode dives into pressing issues confronting Singaporean women. Topics range from the complexities of egg freezing to navigating the dual demands of motherhood and career. Guests, including esteemed healers, creatives, entrepreneurs, and innovators, join in candid, unfiltered discussions through the 6-episode series.

Creating a distinct identity for the podcast was crucial. The objective was to retain the Vogue logo and combine it with the word ‘uncut’. Selected, is a complementary sans-serif typeface with specific adjustments made, and in addition, a slash after the brand logo. This small graphic detail, reminiscent of a film slate and the director's term ‘CUT’, also helps visually balance both texts and maintain readability. The result is a unique word mark for the series.

The Vogue Uncut logo was subsequently utilised on Instagram, as well as on web banners and email signatures, to draw attention to the launch of the series.

Supporting illustrations were also designed, adding a unique visual flair to the podcast series. These custom illustrations played a significant role in defining the podcast's distinct look and feel. Each illustration was meticulously adapted for use as cover art for individual episodes on platforms such as Spotify and the Apple Podcast App. This consistent and visually engaging approach not only enhanced the overall aesthetic of the series but also contributed to a cohesive brand identity across multiple listening platforms.

As a result, the podcast not only attracted a broad audience but also fostered a stronger community and sense of understanding amongst women of different walks and backgrounds in Singapore; demonstrating the power of well-executed branding and creative visual elements in extending its reach and impact.

The podcast is available for listening on Spotify and Apple Podcast.
